The Ross/Olsa Mixer homogenizer contains three independently driven agitators. 1. A top supported coaxial anchor agitator. 2. Inner counter-rotating blades. 3.A bottom entering homogenizing turbine. The anchor moves the bulk of the batch while enhancing heat transfer, the inner blades generate a downward flow of product to insure good axial mixing, and the homogenizing turbine emulsifies and homogenizes. Since the homogenizer is located in the bottom of the vessel, it can be used with very small volumes of materials.
