• Bio-Degradable Plastics: One of the standout projects of 2024 involved helping a developer of bio-degradable plastic alternatives transition from manual mixing with power tools to a more efficient Multi-Shaft Mixer. This upgrade resulted in significant improvements in their production process, boosting efficiency and scalability.
• Defense Industry Support: The center also provided crucial assistance to a defense industry client in validating their scale-up plans. Testing inert materials in the 40-gallon Double Planetary Mixer helped the client fine-tune their process, ensuring that their plans for scaling up would be successful.
• Renewable Housing Products: The lab worked closely with a company specializing in renewable building materials. With ROSS’s lab resources and technical support, the client successfully prepared and launched a new pilot plant, demonstrating the power of collaboration in driving innovation.
